Virg and I have been following America's Got Talent since that week we saw it on TV. Anyway... the act that has been impressing us everything single time is Butterscotch. Not only she has the coolest and most original act, she also seems to know very very well how to keep the crowd excited. Anyway.. she put on a wicked show tonight... it's fresh... I wonder what she's going to do next week!!

smooth like butter hard like scotch
america's got talent got me hooked!! i usually don't watch shows like this but after accidentally seeing the re-runs of last week's episode on saturaday, i can't wait to see the next show on tuesday! my favorite contestant is Butterscotch... i just spent the afternoon on you tube looking at some of her other performances. She is very talented. She sings, writes her own songs, plays many instruments, beat boxes wicked beats and best of all she performs with so much passion and charisma that i get chills every time i listen to her "city love" song! it is truly inspiring seeing her perform! i haven't seen anything like this for a very very long time! woo hoo.. when do i call and vote? :)

148lbs i'm now! i've been trying to get my weight below 150 for the longest time... working lots and not exercising definitely doesn't make it easy...
now with alittle more excercise and a lot less stress .. i did it! :) didn't even trying that hard! i think the last time i weighted less than 150 was probably about 7 years ago... woo hoo.. time to reward myself with tunnie tuesday specials! :)

bump n grind
i guess we can't really call ourself a vancouverite if we've never done the grouse grind. well... we did on wednesday and i'm still sore after 4 days! :) took us an hour and half to get to the top... not bad i guess! maybe we'll try going again next week!

i'm flat footed. not the regular type of flat footed-ness... but i can level my foot horizontally flat like a table top... :D i always knew that i'm special in someways.. :)

Tree Huggers
Virg and I are turning into tree huggers. We walk and bike as much as possible. We bring our own cotton grocery bags and refuse to take plastic bags when grocery shopping. We try to reuse as much as possible. We are going to get rid of all the things that we don't use so someone else can use it without buying them new. We need to switch to a hybrid soon and we are going to switch to e-bills whenever possible. We're going to do our little part to save energy and resources. We declare ourselves tree huggers from now on.

Asian Avenue
AA will be closed on June 15th 2007. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
i logged onto AA today and saw that there were 11 members online at about 9:30 PST.. 11 members!!!!! i remembered my AA addiction days.. i watched the online member counter grew from 100 to 500 then to over 1000... now... 11 members.
Screw facebook and all... remember those AA tshirts that people (not me) proudly wore around town?!?! i doubt facebook can get that kinda "following" like AA had... ahahah...
I think we should all log back onto AA and chat about bubble teas and stuff. I think we should also hold a 10 year AA reunion with all the net buddies we've met online!

Absence
wohh.. it's been a year since i last blogged. where did my year go?
let's see what happened last year... i got married... travelled... took lotsa pictures... bought shoes... joined the strata council.. lost some weight... switched to a MAC... worked lots..
the coming year... i don't want to work so much anymore... i want to travel more, take more pictures, get rid of some of my shoes, get off the strata council.. lose alittle more weight and spend more time with my family...
ohh.. maybe i'll get a doggie too.

Toyota Camry
i've been driving a rental camry for most of last month. 1 week in toronto and 2 weeks in cali/vegas. sad to say that i actually quite enjoy the camry. it's kinda gutless but it kinda goes. and its' kinda boaty but it's rides nice. buttons could be placed better and the controls could be more user friendly but it works pretty well. the ride is soft but it sort of takes corners. i guess that's toyota! not all that.. it's just enough and ehhmm.. nice.. i guess.
i can see why everybody buys a toyota.
it's kinda funny how i don't realize how many toyotas are out there until i'm in one. i swear... in toronto, especially in the chinese areas, a good 80% of cars are toyotas. new camry, old camry, previa, sienna, celica, and CRAZY amount of corollas!!
will i ever buy a toyota? umm.. maybe! i think i'm losing it!!!

LA cars
i always have something to say about cars after i get back from LA...
there were so many brand new bmw 7s and brand new range rovers in LA that steve and i were wodnering if there were more ranges or 7s... so we counted them! we didn't count any older generations of 7s nor ranges. only new ones!... so in 2 hours of driving around, i couted 40 frigg'in range rovers and steve counted 38 7 series! no we didn't drive by no dealership and no we didn't going around in circles counting cars. it was just us driving around going to places. insane? i think so!
and oh yeah.. we saw another SLR, a few lambos and 2 ford GTs!!!

Selling Sneakers
alright.. i've taken the 1st step.. hopefully it'll get easier from here. i'm in the process of selling most of my shoes and i've just listed a pair from my sneaker collection on ebay. painful.. but not too too bad.. hopefully i can sell most of them for a good price! erggh...

this is just weird... my 20 gig ipod sold for 30 bucks more than steve's 40 gig on ebay.. i checked the completed auctions and apparently it's usual that 20 gigs sells for more... weird!!

one thing that i'm really really grateful about is that i have an awesome dentist.
it's not like i don't brush or floss, but for whatever reasons, i always need things done to my teeth. always! anyway.. i've had so many of my teeth fixed, pulled and root canaled that i really wonder if there's any of my tooth that has never been "worked on" before.
i've seen many many dentists in the past 30 years of my life... some are alright, some are just sooooo terrible that i thought i'll be better off by pulling the teeth out with a plier myself. but my current dentist is just AWESOME. if i didn't have to move my head or open/close my mouth, i could really sleep through the whole thing. maybe i was really tired that day, but my last visit to my dentist was a root canal and i really almost felt asleep.
i guess going to the dentist is never really going to be a pleasent experience. but i'm sooo very glad that i don't have to be afraid or worried at all whenever i have to go to the dentist. that peace of mind is priceless and i'm soooo grateful that i have a wicked dentist!!

new IPOD
for the same price last year this time, the new ipod is thinner, has a huge color screen, 10 extra gigs, and it plays video and photo... and what's more.. it sounds SO much better than the old one... i should of waited another year... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight... maybe i should just bite the bullet and get another one :P

Kids Cellphone
i saw a kid pulled out a cell phone in the elevator today... not that i don't realize that everybody has a phone nowadays.. but for some strange reasons, seeing this kid with the cell phone almost felt like as if i saw a kid wearing reading glasses...
i mean he's got an animal backpack, lunch box with animation characters and etc.. and bang... a regular cell phone... isn't that weird? i guess teenager with a cool looking phone looks about right.. but kids... they need cute phones! do phone companies make cell phones for kids? a Nemo cell phone?
